While it had all the tricks and elements needed to create a successful event, such as designers, musicians, glamour and parties, it still failed to drum up the buzz.
The designer line-up included Neeta Lulla, Pria Kataria Puri, Sounia Gohil, Aarti Vijay Gupta, Sushma Patel and the Rachna Sansad School of Fashion and Textile Design.
While designers such as Pria Kataria Puri and Sushma Patel (based out of New York) showed collections that were true to the theme and spirit of the resort week, others such as Neeta Lulla and Riyaz Gangji showed so-called resort collections which were replete with ethnic Indian wear, more befitting a bridal fashion event.
Nicole Huber, Miss Paraguay 2011, was the showstopper for Pria Kataria, Shazahn Padamsee walked for Patel, Zeenat Aman for Gangji and Genelia Deshmukh closed Lulla's show.
International names included Dj's High on Heels, Viktoria Metzker and Indian Dj's Ma Faiza and Megha Kawale.
American socialite and hotel heiress Paris Hilton is all set to attend the event and will make her debut on the beaches of India as a DJ on Day.
Three (Saturday), while Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu will be the showstopper for designers Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor.
