Bollywood twist to fashion mela

This year's edition of Chivas Studio, which brought together names like Karan Johar, Rohit Bal and Karsh Kale, proved to be the perfect mix of cinema, fashion and music.

The two-day event was held at ITC Maurya recently and started with the screening of a short film by Johar and Chivas Studio, called Strangers In The Night. Mohit Marwah, Karan Pandit, Saba Azad and Yolanda Mclellan, along with director Shakun Batra, were present here. Explaining the concept of the urban mela, Tamaasha, which featured his installations, Rohit said, "Tamaasha is a true Chivas Soiree and is whimsical, quirky and at the same time, artistic and extremely thought-provoking."

The high point of day two was a performance by Karsh Kale collectiv, which featured musicians like Shilpa Rao, Benny Dayal, Apeksha Dandekar, Warren Mendonsa, Jai Row Kavi, Johan Pais, DJ Jayant Luthra and Pt Ajay Prasanna.

Speaking on The Chivas Studio 2012, Shweta Jain, AGM - marketing, Pernod Ricard India, said, "The Chivas Studio has evolved over the years' as a unique collaborative platform. With an amazing talent line-up, it propagates creative brotherhood and showcases innovative and versatile creations across genres."
