As we countdown the final days of 2013, one thing is for sure: we have a lot of fun fashion news to look forward to in the year ahead. Here are some of the biggest stories I'm watching right now:
1) Designer to Watch: Alexander Wang. The American designer will reveal his first collection in Paris for Balenciaga and you can almost feel the excitement. Will he be successful? Can he sustain his work for Alexander Wang AND design for the French fashion label? Will he follow in the footsteps of his predecessor Nicolas Ghesquiere or venture in a new direction? It won't be long before fashion editors start placing their bets.
2) Fashion Trend to Watch: Designer collaborations. If you thought you had seen every fashion partnership under the sun, wait: there's plenty more in store. The New Year is days away but we already know that Rihanna is working with River Island and Karl Lagerfeld is planning a line of jelly shoes with Melissa. Perhaps the collab I'm most excited about so far is Caroline Issa and L.K. Bennett. We have just two short months before this line is revealed. Oh, and expect H&M to reveal a new designer collab before you can blink.
3) Retailer to Watch: Gap. If there is one store that's on fire now (and expected to have a huge breakthrough next year) it's Gap. Marketing has improved, stores have been remodeled and the clothes are fresh with a new designer at the helm.
Fashion moves fast, so please continue to check in daily with Dressed on the lastest news! I can't wait to see what unfolds in the months ahead.
